Box Score Dodge City women's basketball continued to find success as they downed Weatherford at the Midland Classic picking up an 85-62 win.
The victory moved the Conquistadors to 5-0 on the season with one non-conference contest remaining after the victory.
Conqs wasted no time to establish control as they dropped 27 points in the first quarter and worked the lead to double figures being up 27-16 after just the first 10 minutes of action. That lead would hold up as the Conqs went into intermission up 46-34 and then would continue to control the contest in the second half finishing the game with a 24-point fourth quarter to secure the 85-62 win.
The shots continued to fall for the Conqs as they shot 44.9% from the field with 21 assists on 31 made field goals and drained 12 three-pointers. Four double-figure scorers paced the Conqs with 14 points coming from Mia Jordan who was 5-8 from the field including 2-2 on three-pointers and 2-2 free throws. Tayah Morgan added 14 points on 4-8 shooting, while Monique Rudder tallied 11 points and five rebounds. Paris Santacaterina chipped in 10 points, while Shorna Preston grabbed 12 rebounds in the contest.
The Conqs looked to wrap up non-conference play against Arizona Western on Saturday, November 11th at the Midland Classic.
