Dodge City women's soccer team faced their second-ranked KJCCC opponent in the week this time on the road as they took on #20 Coffeyville. 

The Conquistadors played the Red Ravens tough but fell 2-0 on the road, the loss moves the Conqs to 1-2-1 on the season. 

Five minutes into the contest the Conqs saw Coffeyville get on the board taking a 1-0 advantage but the remainder of the first half was a tight battle that saw the Conqs have a few attempts to try and tie the contest. Conqs would ultimately head into halftime trailing 1-0 and it would remain that score until the 63rd minute when the Red Ravens tallied their second goal of the day coming off a corner kick. Despite the efforts of the Conqs, they would fall 2-0. 

Conqs were outshot in the contest 12-7 and while limiting the Red Ravens' opportunities struggle to get many of their own. Maria Scopino, Sain Cha, and Alexandra Sibrikova each recorded two shots. 

Up next the Conqs will take on Hutchinson in KJCCC action on Wednesday, September 14th at 6:00 pm on the road.
