Game 1 – at Garden City (Won 12-3 in six innings)

Conqs started slow on the day falling behind 2-0 after just the first inning against Garden City but they would respond in several ways. The party got started offensively for the Conqs in the top of the third as Oliva Ortiz led the inning off with a single which was followed by a double by Stephanie Torres and then a two-RBI double by Melanie Castro to tie the game at 2-2. The Conqs tallied two more runs in the third and took the lead at 4-2 and added to that with a three top of the fourth. The Conqs secured the game with a five-run output in the top of the fifth with an RBI triple by Castro and a two-RBI double by Riley Haney highlighting the inning. In the bottom of the sixth, the Conqs shut the door and finished the game for a 12-3 win.

Game two saw both teams hold advantages at different junctures of the contest as it was a tight battle to the end. The Conqs got things started with a solo home run by Castro to make it 1-0 in the top of the first, but Garden City countered with two runs in the bottom of the inning. In the top of the second, the Conqs quickly regained the lead as Castro recorded a two-RBI double and then Kalei Villegas followed with an RBI double to make it 4-2 Conqs.
