Dodge City men's soccer hit the road for the first round of the Plains District playoffs and squared off with #18 Johnson County. 

The Conquistadors were looking to avenge an earlier season overtime loss to Johnson County but it was once again a penalty kick goal by the Cavaliers that was the difference in the match this time around also as Johnson County won 2-1. 

Both teams would find chances throughout the first half but it was Johnson County who struck first with a goal in the 18th minute. The Conqs finally broke through in the 31st minute when Janik Buch tallied his fifth goal of the season with the assist going to Diego Marcelino Olivares. Looking like the match would head into halftime tied up Johnson County mounted the attack late in the first half and a challenge just inside the box led to a penalty kick call for the Cavaliers that they would make to take a 2-1 lead. In the second half, the Conqs put forth a strong effort and out shot Johnson County 10-4 in the half but were unable to get on the board again ultimately ending their season with a tough 2-1 road loss. 

In the loss, the Conqs would outshoot Johnson County 19-11 with Buch accounting for the lone goal for the Conqs. 

The loss finishes the Conqs season at 10-7 on the year which matches the most wins in a season for Head Coach, Oscar Zelaya.
