Conquistador Men Win Big in CONQ Classic Final

(Dodge City, KS) - After a big win on Friday night over a solid Bethel JV squad, the Conq Men looked to do the same on Saturday night. First they had to wait out a contest between the Seminole State Trojans and the same Bethel Threshers JV squad the Conqs faced Friday. For much of the first half, the Threshers took it to the Trojans (7-0) with multiple lead changes in the first half and many made 3 pointers by the Threshers hot shooting guards. Seminole State lead by only 1 point at halftime! The second half was another story for the Trojans, a story of Guard Anthony Thomas. Thomas ended the game with a game high 30 points. The Trojans outscored the Threshers 60-41 in the second half and won the game 108-88. 

The Conquistador Men took on On Point Academy from Oklahoma in the finale of the CONQ Classic and the Conqs wasted no time setting the tone for the night. After a sub-par offensive effort Friday night, Freshman G Miles Ray came out in attack mode. Ray along with wing running mate Quindarius Thomas got the Conqs out to an early lead. Once again the Conqs would use the entire bench in the game in route to another convincing Conquistador win.
