Box Score The Conquistador men's soccer team had very little on the line when they traveled to Garden City on Saturday, they had already locked up the #3 seed from the west in the Region VI Tournament and a winning season. That did not effect their performance as they were dominant in the first half on their way to a 3-1 victory over Garden City Community College.

The Conqs got off to a very hot start in the first half by scoring three goals in the first 30 minutes of the game. They were aided by a stiff wind at their back during the first 45 minutes. Connor O'Neill stayed hot after scoring three goals last Wednesday against Hesston, he got the first goal of the game on Sunday in the fourteenth minute of the game off of an assist from Kieran Guthrie. Johnley Dezile struck just two minutes later off of an assist from Gustavo Lemos Borba. That goal gave the Conqs all they would need on the day as they led 2-0. Dodge was not done for the first half though. In the 28th minute Joao Victor de Oliveira got an unassisted goal to give Dodge City a commanding 3-0 lead.

The second half was a little different story for the Conqs. They still had their opportunities to score, but they could not capitalize on them headed into the wind. Garden City got their lone goal of the game with just over 15 minutes left on the clock to pull the score to 3-1 in favor of the Conqs. That is how the game would end.

The win gives the Conqs a final regular season record of 10-4-2 overall and 7-3-2 in conference play. They will travel to Chanute to take on Neosho County Community College in the first round of the Region VI Tournament at 1:00pm on Friday.
