DODGE CITY, Kan. - With both teams coming off close wins last week, the No. 15 Conquistadors will host the No. 14 Butler Grizzlies on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m., at Memorial Stadium.
In last week's poll, the Conqs were ranked 19th, while the Grizzlies were just receiving votes. Butler was able to knock off No. 4 Iowa Western last week to move to No. 14 in this week's poll.
This will be the 86th all-time meeting between Dodge City and Butler, with the Grizzlies leading the series 51-33 with one tie. Head Coach
Gary Thomas got his first win against Butler last year, knocking off the Grizzlies by a score of 7-3 in week five to continue the team's winning streak.
Sophomore quarterback
Caden Walters threw for two touchdowns last week pushing his season total to 10 touchdown passes which leads the KJCCC and is tied for first in the nation. His 10 touchdown passes also ties a career high for touchdown passes in a season, set last year.
