Box Score COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - After a tough loss last weekend, the Conq football team lost to No. 3 Iowa Western on Saturday afternoon by a score of 55-13.

Iowa Western was able to take a lead on their first drive of the game after going 72 yards which was capped off by a seven yard run by Kai Locksley to make the score, 7-0.

The Conqs then put a good drive together, but the drive stalled the David Guilorry missed a 27 yard field goal to keep the score at 7-0.

The Conq defense made a stop on the next drive, but a fake punt by the Reivers kept the drive alive and Iowa Western was able to score on a touchdown pass to Vincent Perry to make the score 14-0.

The Reivers added to their lead with 56 seconds left in the first quarter on a 38 yard run by Locksley to make the score 21-0.

Caden Walters got the Conquistadors on the board, connecting with Austin Watkins from 39 yards out to make the score 21-7.

Iowa Western scored with 7:15 left in the half on their longest play of the year, connecting on a 72 yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 27-7 after the extra point was missed.

Coming out of the locker room, the Reivers added to their lead with Perry collecting his third touchdown of the day, on a 27 yard reception, making the score 34-7.

On the first play of the fourth quarter, Locksley was able to cross the goal line once more to extend the Reiver's lead to 41-7 with 14:50 left in the game.

With just over eight minutes left in the game, Iowa Western was able to extend their lead again from 14 yards out to make the score 48-13.

Again with 2:50 left in the game, the Reivers were able to push their lead to 42, 55-13.

The Conqs then ran out the remainder of the clock, to fall to the Reivers, 55-13.

Dodge City is now 3-4 on the year. The Conqs will be in action again next Saturday as they host Fort Scott Community College for Homecoming Weekend at 6 p.m.
