DC3 Men's Soccer Loses KJCCC Match at Garden City

Box Score GARDEN CITY, Kan. - A 2-0 halftime deficit turned into a 6-0 loss for the Dodge City Community College men's soccer team at Kansas Jayhawk Community College rival Garden City on Saturday, September 24th. 

DC3 is now 0-6-2 on the season and 0-4-1 in KJCCC play.

After falling behind by two goals early in the first half, Dodge City would limit the damage for the rest of the half and trail by a score of 2-0 at intermission. In the second half, the Conquistadors would keep the Broncbusters from adding to their lead for much of the half before Garden would break through for a goal with 18:25 remaining in the contest. GCCC would start pouring it on, adding goals with 12 minutes and 3:57 remaining in the contest to go up by a score of 5-0. Following a skirmish outside the Garden City attacking third with just over three minutes to go, each team would have a player sent off which opened up the field allowing for Garden to add one more goal to make it a 6-0 final. 

DC3 will get the benefit of playing seven of their final eight games at home over the next month, starting on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. home match against Pratt Community College. In the only other meeting this year, the Beavers took a 4-0 halftime lead and held on for a 5-3 victory over the Conquistadors to open up KJCCC play.
