Box Score HESSTON, Kan. - A night after coming out flat in a 5-1 home loss, the Dodge City Community College men's soccer team was able to bounce back in a big way with a 2-0 shutout road win at Hesston College in a Region VI match in Hesston on Saturday night.
DC3 is now 2-8-2 on the season and have won two of their last three matches while the Larks slipped to 2-9-1.
While slow starts have haunted the Conquistadors all season, Dodge City made sure that this wouldn't happen tonight with
Jamie Scott scoring off an assist from
Isaac Palma just 12 minutes into the game. Feeling that one goal was not enough, Renan Pereira would double the lead to 2-0 in the 25th minute, allowing for the Conqs to play that they have been hoping to play all year.
Goalie
Eric Edge got his second collegiate shutout, playing all 90 minutes in net.
Wednesday night's home game against Central Christian College has been cancelled, meaning that Dodge City will next be in action on Thursday, October 13th when they travel to Goodland, Kansas to play a makeup game against Northwest Kansas Tech in a game that was originally scheduled for September 17th. Earlier this year in Dodge City, DC3 took a 3-1 win over the Mavericks.
