Box Score DODGE CITY, Kan. - A strong counterattack by visiting Northeastern Junior College (Colorado) proved to play the difference in a 5-1 home loss for the Dodge City Community College men's soccer game on Friday, October 7th at Memorial Stadium.
DC3 drops to 1-8-2 overall with the loss.
After giving up a penalty kick goal just eight minutes into the game, Northeastern JC would make the score 2-0 at the 33:42 mark on a mishandled ball by the Conquistador goalie. The halftime deficit would grow to 3-0 as less than two minutes later, the Plainsmen would put their counterattack to use and send another shot into the back of the net. NEJC would not let off the gas pedal to start the second half, adding goals in the 48th and 55th minutes to make the score 5-0 before Dodge City would finally get on the board in the 88th minute with a goal by

The Conqs would outshoot the Plainsmen 17-14, but would be outdone 8-1 in shots on goal. DC3 was guilty of 19 fouls compared to 12 for Northeastern JC.
A chance to bounce back will await Dodge City tomorrow with a 7 p.m. contest at Hesston College. The Larks are 2-8-1 on the year following a 6-0 loss to Cloud County on Tuesday.
