Men's Soccer Season Comes To Devastating Ending at Cowley

Box Score ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. - Playing on poor field conditions, the Dodge City Community College men's soccer team saw their season come to an end at the 2:07 mark of the second overtime in a 2-1 loss at Cowley Community College in the first round of the NJCAA Region VI Tournament on Thursday, October 27th.

DC3 ends their season at 5-10-2 while the Tigers move onto Sunday's second round match at Cloud County. The loss marks the second time this year that the Conqs have dropped a 2-1 match at Cowley.

Dodge City would give up a goal in the first half and miss a few key chances to go into the locker 1-0 and with their heads held high knowing that opportunities were coming. In the second half, the Conquistadors again would find chances but would only convert on one when Irvin Rodriguez connected on a corner kick with 3:56 left in regulation. Neither team would score in the final three minutes of regulation to send the game to overtime which again would see neither team score.

After Dodge City would get a couple of opening chances in the second ten minutes before a Cowley counterattack would send in header for a goal over a stretched out Eric Edge
