Box Score DODGE CITY, Kan. -- The Dodge City Community College women's basketball team continued its strong start to the season with another convincing victory, this time over the Bethel College junior varsity 81-62 Friday at the Pizza Hut Classic at the Civic Center.
The Conquistadors (5-0) used a strong second quarter, outscoring the Bethel JV 26-13, to pull away for a 45-27 halftime lead and cruised from there.

Mark James said. "I liked the effort and I liked the energy."
The Conqs had six players score eight or more points in the victory with
Rachel Slattery leading the way with 15 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
Blair Johnson was a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor and had 12 points,
Dasia Johnson had 10 points, four assists and two steals,
Talisha Presley had 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals,
Antania Newton had nine points and three assists and
Brittany Leonard had eight points.
Dodge City's defense held Bethel College to 32.4 percent shooting and forced 28 turnovers.
Up next for the Conqs is Northwest Kansas Tech 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Dodge City Civic Center. Dodge City defeated Northwest Kansas Tech 88-58 to open the season Nov. 3.
