Box Score DODGE CITY, Kan. -- The Dodge City Community College men's soccer team got a go-ahead goal from
Victor Agah, Jr. in the 70th minute and held on for a key KJCCC victory 2-1 over Johnson County on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
The victory improves the Conquistadors (6-5-2) to 3-5 in KJCCC play, a half game behind Johnson (3-4) and Cowley (3-4) for sixth and has the same amount of wins as fifth-place Kansas City Kansas (3-2-1).
DC3 got things going in the 15th minute when
Fernando Hernandez scored to give the Conqs a 1-0 advantage (Hernandez's third goal of the season). Johnson tied it in the 32nd minute as the teams went into the half tied 1-1.
But Agah's fifth goal of the season (tied for the team high) in the 70th minute gave the Conqs the lead for good.
DC3 plays its final regular-season home game of the year 6 p.m. Wednesday against Northwest Kansas Technical College at Memorial Stadium.
