Box Score DODGE CITY, Kansas: Dodge City women's basketball garnered their fourth straight win tonight after putting down Bethel College JV 74-55 to close out the Pizza Hut Classic.
The Conqs owned the offensive throughout both halves, putting up a 40.9 field goal percentage after hitting 27-66, seven from long range and 13-19 from the charity stripe.
DC3 earned a 32-26 lead heading into the second half, and then continued strong play to own the second half 42-29 for the 19-point win.
Antania Newton led the team with 16 points and six assists after hitting five from the field, two from three-point range and putting up 4-4 from the free throw line. She also pulled down four rebounds and posted one steal for the Conqs.
Johlicia Williams garnered her first double-double of the 2014-15 season with 12 points and 15 boards. She hit five from the field and went 2-2 from the stripe while leading the team with four steals and posting one block.
Kandra Gasaway helped the effort with 12 rebounds and one block on the day while
Keiwanna Patterson put in nine points and three assists and
Hannah Whitaker put in two blocks.
DC3 will continue playing next Friday and Saturday, November 28-29 at the Hutch Classic in Hutchinson Classic. They will take on Neosho County at 1:30 p.m. on Friday and close the tournament on at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday against Kansas City Kansas.
