Box Score DODGE CITY, Kansas: Dodge City men's soccer put in a commanding performance on the pitch tonight, propelling their overall record to 11-4-2 and Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 5-2-2 after a 3-1 victory over Kansas City Kansas.
DC3 owned the pitch from the opening whistle, posting seven shots in the first half and 11 in the second for 18 overall compared to the Blue Devils three shots in the first half and one in the second for four total on the day.
DC3 scored first in the sixth minute of play with a
Mauro Hipolito to
Ross Rodgers connection that found the back of the net.
The Conqs were not done with the offensive however, putting in their second goal off a perfect cross by
Cristian Verduzco that allowed
Shemuel Wilson to head the ball past the KCK goalie.
Kansas City Kansas picked up on an opportunity in the 63
rd minute, scoring in their first shot on goal of the game.
With the score 2-1, Dodge was looking for some insurance goals and found one in the 78
th minute of play. Rodgers passed in to
Dylan Weeks who scored the final Conq goal to close out regulation 3-1 over the opposition.
The Conqs finish out regular season with the win and will move on to post season play next week. Tournament times will be announced soon.
