Dodge City Community College Athletics

For the first time since 2001 the Dodge City women’s cross country team had a runner earn All-American honors as Edith Valdez placed 13^th at the NJCAA Division I Championships with 1578 total runners competing. Valdez posted a time of 19:01.4 which was one minute and 25 seconds better than her time as a freshman at Nationals when she placed 27^th. She helped the Conquistadors finish ninth as a team at Nationals this year.
