Football picked up the 43-42 win in comeback fashion at home over Independence and had several great performances. Omarion Lewis had his first 100+ yard game as a Conquistador, grabbing eight passes for 126 yards with a touchdown. On the first play of the second quarter Lewis caught a 41-yard pass for a touchdown and on the final Conq drive of the game he caught a critical fourth down conversion grabbing an 11-yard pass just past the sticks to keep the drive alive.
