Dodge City football opened the season on the road against New Mexico Military Institute and had multiple big plays in the season opener. Joshua Taylor returned in the backfield for the Conquistadors and carried the ball nine times amassing 105 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown was a 75-yard touchdown run on the first Conqs offensive play of the season.
