Newton continued her hot shooting this week by averaging 29.5 points on 18-for-25 shooting – including a scorching 68.8 percent from 3-point range (11-for-16). She also averaged 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals during the Conqs’ two games. Her top performance came in a win at Neosho County where she had 39 points (8-for-11 from 3-point range), eight rebounds, four assists and a steal. Newton leads the KJCCC in 3-point percentage (54.5 percent) and is seventh in scoring (15.3).
