Dodge City football opened the season with a 20-17 win over Tyler as the Conqs defense gave up just 232 total yards and held Tyler to 22% conversion on third down. Sam Brooks helped led the defense recording 11 tackles in the matchup which nearly matches his season total as a freshman. His previous game high tackles was three twice last season.
