Dodge City track and field compete at the Region 6 Indoor Championships and the performance of Brayden Bergkamp was expectational for the Conquistadors. Bergkamp in his first time competing in the heptathlon won the Region 6 Indoor championship posting 4,564 points over the seven events. Bergkamp on day one of the competition earned sixth in the 60-meter dash (7.30), 14th in the long jump (5.95m), sixth in the shot put (10.55m) and won the high jump (1.93m) to sit in fourth overall in points. Day two saw him more points with a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (8.48) and then capped the competition by taking 11th in the pole vault (3.08m) and fifth in the 1000-meter run (2:55.54). His performance earned him a trip to NJCAA Indoor National Championships and ranks ninth in the NJCAA.
