Dodge City rodeo team opened competition for the 2023-24 academic year last weekend competing at the Colby CC NIRA rodeo and the Conquistadors had a strong start to the year by Cody Newell in steer wrestling. Newell finished fourth place overall with a 14.6 time overall and earned second place in the short round behind a 4.9.
