Dodge City football improved to 2-1 on the season after a 14-7 road win over Highland and are off to their best start to a season since 2017. Jaden Kelly was influential in the Conquistadors win as his interception set up the Conqs on the Highland five-yard line leading to the Conqs first touchdown of the day in a game that was decided by one score. Kelly had three tackles helping the Conqs hold the Scotties to just 234 total yards and the lowest points by a KJCCC opponent against the Conqs since the 2018 season. On the year Kelly has 15 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss and an interception.
