Dodge City baseball opened KJCCC play taking three of four against Hutchinson to win the series and beat the Blue Dragons in a series for first time since 2010. In the series finale Michael DeBattista was dealing on the mound to help the Conquistadors secure the series. 
 
DeBattista tossed seven scoreless innings giving up just one hit and two walks, while striking out 10 in the Conqs 1-0 win over Hutchinson. He tossed 108 pitches over seven innings with 66% of his pitches going for strikes. 
 
On the season DeBattista has thrown 20 innings recording 29 strikeouts to just 12 walks in six appearances with four starts and a 1-1 record. Over his last 11 innings pitched he’s only given up one run on two hits and five walks, with 16 strikeouts.
