Denise Dominguez put together a strong showing at the Region VI Indoor Track and Field Championships as she earned a spot at the NJCAA National Indoor Championships in the 5000-meter run. 
 
Dominguez posted a time of 19:03.80 in the 5000-meter run to qualify for Nationals by nearly seven seconds and placed fourth at the region meet. She also earned sixth place in the 3000-meter run behind a time of 11:09.73.
