Dodge City baseball opened the 2023 season on the road with a three-game series against Ranger in Texas. Freshman, Ethan Hewell started his college career in a strong way making an impact in all three games for the Conquistadors going 5-11 with four runs scored, eight RBI, a triple, and walk in the contests. Hewell in the season opener went 2-4 with a run scored, triple, and RBI and then followed that up with a 2-4 showing in game two with five RBI and a run scored. In the series finale helped the Conqs earn their first win of the season as he went 1-3 with two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk.Â
