Dodge City Community College Athletics

Dodge City track and field team opened the outdoor season at the Jinx Invite at Southwestern College and Machala Hengen put together a national qualify mark in the 400-meter hurdles earning a spot at the NJCAA Outdoor National Championships. With a time of 1:06.63 she took first place in the event by two seconds and qualified for Nationals. 
 
She also finished third in the 100-meter hurdles (15.94) and fourth out of 21 runners in the 100-meter run (12.79), while also running in the 4x400 meter relay which posted a time of 4:18.27 to take first place.
