Dodge City Community College Athletics

Dodge City softball team opened the 2022 season and picked up a pair of road wins against Lamar in the season opening action and competed at the Winter Blast Tournament in Denison, Texas. Sophomore, Makayla Garcia started the season strong for the Conquistadors as she played in five of the six games and hit .556 with 10 hits, six runs scored, six RBI, a double, a triple, two walks, and two stolen bases. 
 
She had a pair of three hit games against Lamar in Colorado to open the season. In the season opener she was 3-4 with three runs scored, a double, RBI, walk and stolen base. She followed that up by going 3-5 with two runs scored, a triple, and three RBI.
