DODGE CITY, Kansas: Dodge City Community College Athletics has released the 2015 Hall of Fame inductees this week, including four former student-athletes, one team, one coach and one family of contributors.
After reviewing multiple nominations, these former Conquistadors were selected based on athletic achievements and honors performed and attained while a student-athlete, team or coach at Dodge City Community College.
The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Banquet will take place on Saturday, May 2. Events will begin at 6 p.m. in Dodge City, Kansas.
More information about the event will be posted to the DC3 Athletics Hall of Fame Website which will go live next week. Tickets to the events will be made available both online on the DC3 Athletics Hall of Fame website and by mail.

To be eligible for membership in the Conquistador Athletics Hall of Fame, nominees must have:
As an athlete: Successfully completed one full season in a given sport and either graduated from Dodge City Community College or transferred to a four-year college or university. Special consideration will be given to any athlete: who was named First Team, All-American, National Champion, etc.; who set a school, NJCAA, world or other record; who competed in an Olympic games or who led the nation a recognized statistical category.
As a team: Must have demonstrated a high degree of success during any given season or period of time. Qualified for post-season play. Special consideration will be given to any team that: won a Conference, Region or National Championship or qualified for an NJCAA National Championship.
As a coach: Must have held that position for at least five academic years, and must have compiled a significant winning record.
As a contributor: Made special contributions to the support, growth, popularity and/or community acceptance of the intercollegiate athletic program. Can be individual or company.
To be eligible for consideration as an athlete, coach or team, the nominee must have been disassociated with the college by virtue of graduation or transfer to another institution of higher education for at least five (5) years or have been disassociated with his/her coaching responsibilities for a period of five (5) years. This term of disassociation is waived for candidates over the age of 62. There is no time of disassociation for a contributor to be eligible for membership.
